2007. It always hurts me to see this photograph. One place I can’t forget when I traveled to Israel last December is this place: The Wailing Wall. The Wailing Wall is also known as The Western Wall, it is the remains of the Temple that was built I think by Herod in 19BC. It is a great wonder, especially in the way it was built; and is now a holy site for Jews.
The thing is this: at the entrance there was a writing: “No begging allowed”. But when you passed through the streets, there were endless beggars there and it really breaks my heart to see them. This lady was one of them.
